“Now the Lord God said, It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him.” Genesis 2:18 AMPC
“Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall becalled ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” Genesis 2:22-23 NIV

God’s work was not complete until he made woman. Where ever you are in your life understand that God created women for more than their beautiful appearance, the dishes they do, the food they cook, the houses they clean, and the children they take care of. Man gives life to woman but a woman give life to the world. Women bear the seed of life within them and yet many suffer with insecurity, doubt , confusion, depression, oppression and so much more. I know this because I too struggle with many things. For so long, I compared myself to others and defined my value by my degree, career, and how well my marriage and my children where doing. The problem with identifying with these thing is that they change like the seasons do. God however remains the same. (Hebrews13:8) He created you and knew you before your where formed in your mothers womb, setting you apart and appointing you for all he knew that you would do. (Jeremiah 1:5)
Our identities can be found in Jesus Christ, the one who provides everlasting love, our redeemer and deliverer. He calls you blessed, the head and not the tail, wonderfully and fearfully made, apart of a royal priesthood and he has equipped you with the full armor of God, ready to stand against any of the devil’s attacks. (Ephesians6:11)
My dear sister in Christ (SIC) know that depression or oppression has no hold on you, fear no longer rules over you, and anxiety no longer consumes you. God has created you for a purpose and on purpose. As you wake up each morning start validating yourself by God’s word and not the word’s of others. Romans 12:2 says “do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Renew your mind daily, stop doubting yourself because your walk does not look like your neighbors. Worship through your current situation and let go of what ever has been consuming you. This will truly allow God to transform you into the beautiful woman of God your where created to be.
I pray for all the beautiful women out there, Heavenly Father , let us not let our circumstances define us. We identify with you and understand that you have created us for a purpose and on purpose. We know that you do not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. “We demolish every argument and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”I believe that you love us and that you have called and qualified us for anything that comes our way. Fill us with your love and give us the ability to accept the things we cannot change , the courage to change the things that we can and the wisdom to know the difference. In your heavenly name we pray, Amen

Thank you! It’s so easy for us to get caught up in the game of insecurity and comparison. Comparing ourselves to skinnier women, super moms, super wives, and the list goes on. I’m just glad to know that God doesn’t compare me to ANYONE!
