God delights to give us the desires of our heart, when that desire falls in line with His will for us. In 1 Kings 3:5, God told Solomon to ask for whatever he wanted and He would give it to him. Solomon asked for wisdom to govern God’s people. God was pleased with his request that He gave him what he asked for with the bonus of riches and honor.
Question: If God posed the same question to you, what would you ask for? If you’re not sure what you would ask for, take a note from Solomon and ask God to give you wisdom. Use that wisdom to create wealth to support the vision that He gives you.
But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV)
